Great question. Depending on your individual fitness level, it may be best to start you with a walking or run/walk routine. The mission of Off and Running is to increase your fitness level from where you are now. This will be different for every person.
No. Off and Running is primarily a beginner's program designed to get people to enjoy running and walking and to equip them with the tools they need to incorporate running and walking into a life of health and wellness for the rest of their lives. While each person participating in an Off and Running program will have varying degrees of ability it will mostly range from beginning to intermediate and this may not be the best option for elite or extremely competative runners.
Great question! Because training programs last for varying lengths of time you pay for service depending on the length of your training plan. Average 5k & 10k training plans are about two months. Average half-marathon training is about four months. Payments are made monthly.
The "Basic Training Program" is the only program without montly payments. This program is a one-time cost of $29.
That's simple! First: I love running! Second, as a new runner I was extremely overwhelmed by the the amount of information floating around mainstream magazines and in fitness circles. I designed Off and Running to be a program where being a beginner was not only acceptable but celebrated (Kudos to you, by the way, for taking ownership over your health and wellness by training for an endurance event!) and training was simple so people can get fit and stay fit for the rest of their lives.
